New Member from Michigan
« on: February 17, 2018, 04:36:16 PM »
Hello all,

Relatively new member to TAC. Great site. Very glad I found.  I have a 1980 Trans am that I bought in 81. Repainted it this past summer using House of Kolor Brandywine. Had to stop working on it once the weather got cold. ( no heated garage ).  Cant wait for spring to get here so I can start back up on it.  Going to freshen up the suspension and currently in the process of trying to decide what wheels i want to put on it.  I really like the billet snowflakes but cost is a little more than I'd to spend and from the advise of a TAC member, they may not be the best wheel for the roads I live on.  As soon as I figure out how to get a picture posted here, I'll do it.

Ray

Couple things planned is , hood is being airbrushed currently, hope to have it back next week, planning on new exhaust system,  will be upgrading the sound system. Not a lot of performance stuff I can do to the motor ( it's just a 4.9). I'm not 100% sure what I'm going with as far as the suspension.  Was thinking one of the packages from PTFB. I'll probably be going with the 17" snowflakes from YO, but I like the looks of the Torque thruster II's also. So I'm still trying to decide on that

That color reminds me of my wife's old 77 that was candy maroon metallic.  The color on your car is stunning!  Welcome to TAC!

Yeah I looked at those and really like them but I decided to go with the snowflakes.  They are suppose to be here this week.

Getting my hood back this week too. Had a custom bird painted on. They guy did a fantastic job.

X2, hard to believe it's painted on. So how does one paint a hood bird? did he use a template?
