PhotoBucket Fix Via Browser Extension
« on: January 14, 2018, 09:45:16 PM »
I know the one for Chrome works as I installed it and went through a few threads that the photos were pulled, haven't tested Opera or Firefox but I don't see why they wouldn't work.  Makes life a lot easier than doing the "~original" fix.

Opera:
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/photobucket-hotlink-fix/

Chrome:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hl=en

Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/

Figured would be worth sharing for others that may not have come across it yet.

Hey Box do you mind elaborating? clicked on the link and it gave me a download option (but again I'm trying to do this from work and they have all sorts of blocks)

You download the extension and it automatically enables it in your browser, at least for Chrome anyway, and then any pages with dead PhotoBucket images will be fixed for you to see again.  I tested a few dead threads to make sure it worked and all the images were back to how they were before PB went greedy.

Great find Box!
I would still encourage anyone relying on the old threads to print a copy to a PDF file. then the pictures will be available when you go to read / study them regardless of what PB does in the future.

Yep, this way it's easier to back up threads to be extra safe.  I imagine PB is working on breaking the work around if they're able to.  Figured was worth sharing for those that wanted to restore and back up threads, or how many of us have found something through Google only for the PhotoBucket ransom to have ruined it.
