New seat belts
« on: December 04, 2017, 06:36:35 PM »
Installed a set of seat belts from Firebird central with the GM logos. (78 TA) They were nice and look good. Big improvement in function and style over the old ones which I think were likely original. The rep told me they work on g-force (how fast the belt pulls the spinner out) vs. the originals which are inertia. The difference being that if you pull the new ones out to fast they lock, but that's easy to get used to and they don't tighten down and stay that way uncomfortably.

Nice.....Aussie spec belts have to be both belt speed and inertia locking.....one of the reasons they sometimes try and fail the original FB seat belts...they don't lock on belt speed deployment.

I am not a fan of the reproductions we dont offer them due to quality about the onlything GM is the logo on them outside of that kinda look like go kart seat belts. (Just my opinion)
Snake Oil and we (at times) can restore factory units
