Still waiting on the pics of that "Formy" hood, 70RAIV455.
Its buried in the Garage.
I will get it out soon Decaff and photograph it.
The Vents at the rear of it are intact. Not broken out like most.
I was tearing down a 4L60E of mine yesterday.
Gotta rebuild it myself ASAP.

It's all good :-)

Not like I have the money right now anyway.  Waiting on payday just to get a PS pump and ignition wires for Max.  Pathetic, I know.
The hood is going nowhere.
I have had it a real long time now and never used it.

Get pics as soon as I can.
I wake up its dark out now & get home its dark outside again.

That's alright man.  Same here.

Just to be clear, this hood has the scoops that extend to the headlights, correct?

Yes.
Its a Factory 1971 to 1973 RAM AIR Formula Firebird hood.
Some sources say it was available to 1975 RAM AIR

Does that mean it won't fit my 76?

Funny you should mention that.  I'm contemplating tearing into that rear tomorrow morning.

Anyone know of a good write-up on rebuilding a GM 8.6" rear?

I cannot imagine it's any different or much more difficult than what the Ranger, or the T/A was...

Its close to the same as TA 8.5.
GM 8.6 Had 2-cut gearsets.
So they sometimes set up funny the Drive and Coast patterns.
