Seat belts

Anyone have a year style compatibility chart for belts?

I have these and I’m on my third attempt to match them.

Not really, they had several types for options and even factories. I posted some links previously but thanks to Photobucket...

What have you got?

I guess you have a 76, judging by your signature. Here are the types of belts used in 76. Only type 2 and type 5 were used on Firebirds/TA's. The type of spade has to match the style of buckle.

Mine is 78 so may be different but used the chrome deluxe type 1. Apart from the reciever shape and style be aware that the metal buckle changed shape as well as the hole which makes them non-interchangeable. Even the stalk sleeves are different depending on buckle type.

I don't think anything new exists in 76 factory style, mainly 78-81, and factory style used somewhat loosely also. Except for a full original resto id consider upgrading to a later model setup over the early ideas.

The one I have ( male shoulder belt) looks like type 3. The tongue  is long and narrow.

I am looking for the female receiver. I bought a set and they don’t work. They look like type 5

Do you know if it is an original to your car?

That sure is an odd one. Original or not I'd be pursuing a full set that you know matches and in good condition with buckles and chrome work. The plastic and vinyl trim pieces like sleeves is also half the battle.
