'79 T/A lower grill
« on: November 01, 2017, 06:54:47 AM »
Hi all,

Following on another thread. Has anyone used these from NPD?

https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/firebird_grille_set_radiator_npd_exclusive-204642-2001.html

I need to import a set and this is what I could find.

Thanks

The price is the best I've seen.

I just recently picked up a pair for $149 on ebay.  They are good quality accurate reproductions.  It's interesting that the part number started with AUS......   I believe these are made in Australia.

I've also bought those same ones on eBay, well made by an Australian company. $149. Looks like they say they only ship to the U.S., but maybe if you contact them, they'll ship to you. Here's a link to them:

If you look at the NPD grills you will see a hole for the center lower Torx screw.  I don't believe that is correct.  GM placed a plug in that hole.  The reason was that when the screw was torqued down it would deform the grill and/or bumper.  That is why they used double sided tape to hold it in place.  You can see in Grand73Am link there is no hole in the center bottom.  See NOTE #1 in that link.

Yeah, did contact him, but he's sticking to this
NO more international deliveries.. just tired of the problems & the scams out there which continue to wreck it for the honest guys.

I've got an option to ship to the US and then out from there so I will investigate.

Thanks. I'll make contact. Still $76 to ship international?
I've got a mate in the US right now. He's there for about 8 days, so I'm trying to see what he can do for me.
I'll contact you via ebay.

Thanks
