Good mechanics in San Diego- LA area?

Anyone know any good mechanics for 2nd gen trans am around the San Diego to LA area that ain't gonna rob me?

I have rebuilt the engine and sent the carb out to SMI for a rebuild. It's still bogging and I need to get it dialed in so it will pass smog and I can drive it.

I ended up finding a guy in Escondido the shops called Evan’s hot rods his numbers 760-889-6678 he passionate about cars especially engine rebuilds and has a pretty fair price too o was looking at buying a motor off him when I found out he had a shop he does it all

Good to know. I'll make a note of that place too.
I found a place near me in Palm Springs today. H & H Automotive Repair. When I was there today he had a few mid 70's Corvettes, a late 60's Le Mans and a '69 Firebird 400 convertible. I'm dropping my TA off tomorrow.

Please report back your results. Palm Springs is only about 35 minutes from me. It would be nice to know if there is a good shop around.

I had similar issues I had with my '79 failed smog 3 times ..and did not know whay was wrong..it was running great..

I had a vacuum line disconnected  and Bob found it

 Bob can figure it out for you ..and even smog it in his shop
