Installing original AM/FM radio in my 78
« on: April 24, 2018, 12:34:32 PM »
Hi,
My T/A came without a radio and I have acquired a refurbished radio for it.  I understand that new generation speakers won't work with this unit.  Finding 8-10 ohm speakers is proving problematic.  Can I just install a small amplifier and use current generation 4 ohm speakers?

Thanks
Rick

Yes if the amplifier has a high input or what is called line in. If it doesn't then a line converter will be needed.

If you don't want to add an amp, you can get the 8-10 ohm speakers at turnswitch.com .
