how about a little how to fix your screw ups.
Some of these panels need to fit a lot of edges very tight so they can be riveted.
I have been known to miss a edge, so how do you fix it

If you will clamp it up like shown and take your propane torch and warm it up to about 400 deg them you can hammer it down to the new position

Well its been 2 years today since I restarted working on the car. I have put some 800+ hours in and a fair amount of money. My guess that I am another 2 years away to finish at this rate. I just keep making parts. I have got to run out of stuff to build sooner or later. I guess I will go to the shop and keep working.
More pictures soon.

I love your work, and although on a completely diff. level, I felt the same way with my car. I figured there were a finite number of pieces and as long as I kept putting something on I would eventually get done.

Thanks. Just got back from SEMA. Spent the week shopping for the things that I need to finish the car. There is some exciting things coming to a shop near you guys soon. My main reason for going to SEMA was to get a transmission for my car. I believe that is going to happen in the next few months.

Wolf--what a marvelous undertaking.  Your journey is underway...enjoy every moment along the way and the challenges you will meet and solve. Progress has to be measured in small increments...like the old joke about eating an elephant...you know 1 bite at a time.   :D

I have to ask, is all that fab work actually going to fit within the body structure of 2nd Generation Firebird.  I'm assuming you have taken critical measurements, as well as working off a drawing or two, correct?

My hats off to you for resurrecting this very interesting project.

Well 1 step forward and 2 backwards. I was hoping to get the pedal assembly in the car this weekend ,DENIED.. Where the brake pedal needs to "be"  crashes into the steering shaft. custom pedal needed. Then one of the master cylinders hits the valve cover in that position. and will need to be shifted over and the flange bearing for the steering shaft needs a mount on the front bulkhead.  I have spent the day snarling at it. The next pictures will be graphic. What I have come to terms with is pull the engine, while out modify the oil pan for all the correct pick up and scavenge lines. pull all the side pods and sheet metal on the inside firewall so I can totally finish the front bulkhead. On the drivers side-- steering shaft outer fire wall bearing. Master cylinder bulk head and mount the pedal assembly to the roll cage. passenger side drill and install dry sump oil lines and fuel  lines and weld the into the front bulk head to exit on the fire wall. In the center of the fire wall finish the sheetmetal inside and outside. then reinstall ...

I been working on the offset for the pedals. Who said you can't bend wildwood pedals

I came out better than I expected. One pedal that I don't have to remake.

Here is what I am going to need to move the brake pedal over and keep the bias bar working and the pedal assembly moved over to clear the valve cover
