Knocking sound from muffler
« on: August 02, 2019, 12:08:27 PM »
Hi,

One of the mufflers has a "knocking sound" when the car is cold (goes away after a few minutes). Does it have to be replaced or just more of an annoyance?

Thanks in advance.

most likely a spot weld is loose, when it warms up and expands it makes enough contact for the noise to stop

Thanks!  No performance degradation from this right? If so, I'll keep as is.
