Special handling package rts
« on: October 09, 2019, 05:47:52 PM »
Original invoice on 78 trans am reads special handling package rts  but this is not a special edition car  is that to say it’s same as would be in a y88 with bigger stabilizer bars and such.   It’s 403 and not 400 car also.

The WS6 Special Handling package had nothing to do with the Y82, Y84, or Y88 package. It also didn't matter what engine you picked. You could order a WS6 handling package on a bone stock red 301 powered T/A. And not all Y88's (I'd go as far to say that the majority of Y88's) did not come with the WS6 handling package. A Y88 is the exact same in terms of performance and handling as a standard 1978 Trans Am. The Y88 is an apperance package, nothing more. It modified the look of the car, and that was it.
