Well I just received a call from the shop that's working on my T/A. Picking it up today and will post the dyno graphs but here are the numbers.
Had the following item installed: Ram Air exhaust manifolds, 2 1/2 inch Pypes duel exhaust with Xpipe and Cliff Ruggles HP carb rebuild kit. Before you might remember all stock with the exception of the previous owner removing the cat it made 177 Rear Wheel HP with the secondaries were not opening until way up on the power band because they were sticking. Now the new numbers.... 240 Rear Wheel HP will get the TQ numbers and will post them up as well all numbers are on the same dyno and SAE net. Not too bad for just a few bolt-ons...

Nice! That works out to between 280-290 SAE net hp at the crank. Amazing what these W72s will deliver when you open up the exhaust breathing!

PhotoBucket is free, there is a paid version with more perks, and takes all of a few minutes to sign up.

So the final numbers Rear wheel 240 HP and 287 TQ stock were 177 HP and 239 TQ that's a jump of 63 rear wheel HP and 48 for TQ not bad at all. A big thank you to Cliff Ruggles for his HP carb kit. Also notice that the peak TQ moves up to 4,000 rpm from the stock of 2,800 and peak HP moves up to 4,800 rpm from the stock of 4,000rpm providing a very nice power band.

Apologies to bring this older post back but I found it noteworthy.

So the 77 stock .400ci w72 package was rated at 200hp from Pontiac new.  (at the crank hp)

CMK-2,   What created the 60+hp jump
A.  Since stated you had NO cat converter, was it deleted and you had true dual exhaust???
B. or gutted cat???
C. or just a replacement pipe where cat was, leaving the orig. crossover and y-pipe???

I ask so I can understand the data.
you mention start with 177 rwhp, no cat = 213hp @ crank  which is more than the stock 200hp.

your secondaries were sticking and you added a X-pipe
added 60+ hp. rwhp. That is SUBSTANTIAL % increase,  the most I have ever heard just for an exhaust system.
I didnt think Qjet rebuild would add hp unless ported. Did you port the Qjet further?

most xpipe data doesnt show that significant of an increase on these 70's TA stock applications,  so I am left to think it was the dual exhaust???
Did you switch to headers from stock manifold?
