Junk Yards near Las Vegas
« on: January 23, 2014, 01:30:33 AM »
Does anyone have any info on Recycling/ Junkyards that might have some 2nd Generation FireBird/TA stuff. I was watching Counting Cars last night and the show featured a trip to check out an Impala. The salvage yard they were at, I spotted several Firebirds that might be good for parts.

I haven't seen a 2nd generation F-body in a salvage yard out here since 2009 and it was a 1981 301 base Firebird =(
Trans Am-less at the moment...

I've been looking out there also. I found one yard with an 79 but they wouldn't part it out. They wanted to sell it whole. Think it was a 10th TATA. But needed a total resto. Think it even had a cheesy roll bar in it. It was ou there off of the 15  close to the Pick-a-Part.

You kinda realize that your car is getting old when you can't find parts in a salvage yard. One thing I have been noticing is that I have not spotted a lot of Trans Ams/Firebirds in the Vegas area. Every now and then I see one , but not a lot though.

I'm thinking that we need a T/A club here.
