Why would you ever sell the 96TA?  It would have been cool driving that around Brisbane.

I sold it because someone gave me $8,000 dollars more than I paid for it. It was cool but fuel was a fair bit cheaper then too! I'd hate to run it now!

Ha, cheers mate.

Yeah old yeller is in "Storage mode" its up on stands with the wheels off and suspension hanging. Wont be driving it till xmas 09, or god forbid the beggining of 2010  As much as i miss that car, i must say this black 77 has really made me appreciate how tight and nice these cars are to drive as stock. I definitly want some more power, rear gears and a tighter shifting tranny. But after some recent drives in bad weather. All the heater/defroster and creature comforts will be staying this time around.

Yeah both my 77's have/had the earlier style lower shaker, which you informed me about quite sometime ago when i first noticed it. I still havent PHS'd either of them , i really should get around to doing that, now that im up here i can imagine i would get a fast response time too.

Hi. I'm new to this site.. actually, my daughter signed me up, as I'm trying to fix the oil pressure switch in my car, and needed help...

She took some pictures today (btw, hi. I'm Sam, John's daughter!) and they came out pretty ok, considering they were taken with a phone.

She's a 1974, SD-455 (as you can probably tell). I've had her since 1979. My pride and joy, even if my wife hates the sight of 'er. :P

BAN, that yellow 77 is SWEET! My god. What a ride that'd be!  Nice!

Theres at least two other SD Trans Ams and one SD Formula in Australia that I'm aware of. I sold some trim parts to a guy who's slowly restoring a Brewster Green 73 SD that he's owned since the 80's.

PS, hows Bec going with the 74 Formula?

very funny, very funny.
I don't think the car would last too long with me if the steering was on the other side... LOL
Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be pretty difficult to drive on the opposite side, unless you really practice or are raised with it. How about you BAN? You do both in your trips from aussy to america and back. What do you think? Which is more difficult, driving on the left pr the right side of the road.

Only think I find is "unfamiliar" is the feel of driving a LHD manual car...the shifter in the right hand just feels wrong. Its not too bad with a regular shift knob, but those Hurst T-handle shifters are awful....I don't even like them on a right hand drive car.....

I saw your car at the Exhibition Buildings and I can honestly say that, in my opinion, it is was one of the stand out cars of the entire show. I still managed to get a few decent shots of it even though there were people everywhere.
