Does anyone know what the paint code is for 1977 SE Front Grilles (Gold)? Also is that the same paint code for the 15x7 snowflakes (Gold)? Are all 1976-81 SE Trans Ams that are black, Starlight Black? Or are there other black shades used???

Not to be funny Leigh, but there is only one white and one black. Everything in between is a shade of grey.

So says my colourblind friend....lol. He sent me some pics of a brown 77 T/A the other day after I showed him the colour I was painting my car.....I thought he was making fun of me, but he genuinely thought they were the same colour, lol. I guess he may not truly benefit from how mine will look when it's finished.

there is white , and a pinch of blue in it. PPG 9700 is all blk no white added. a starlight car setting beside a 9700 car ,, the starlight will look brown setting out in the sun.

I built a building a couple of years ago and one of the owners(a navy vet) said to always add a touch of blue to white paint.

is the 78 Y82 gold paintcode the same than the 77 (code 55)? Because I've heard a time ago that in 78 and up a different gold was used on the SE cars.

thank you Randy. I think you get my dash bezel, steering wheel and both grills for restoring in 1-2 years. Your are the best for that job and doing a great work.
But first I make the more important work and finished the body and other components.

Would these golds hold true for a '79 SE? (Ditzler 82353, Code 55, or NAPA 42202?)
