restoring 79 t/a with olds 403 in it .bought new frame mounts and the car didn't have motor in it when we got it .now motor is done went to install it with the (adaptor style mounts )that were with parts for car and motor sits to far back for scoop to clear hood ,I've been told iI have wrong engine mounts ?where can I find right ones???

Here's 2 pics showing the engine mount position on the crossmember. Ignore the steering setup, top is RH side, below that is US drivers side:






And these are the specific engine brackets for Olds engines in Firebirds. F is Front/R is Rear of passenger side bracket, the drivers side has the arrowed head towards the front.



And easily seen bolted to each side of someone's 403 I saved pics of:
