Does anybody have pic of what the EGR valve looks like on the 78 W72? I'm trying to determine if mine has been removed or blocked off

My original transducer was missing, I lucked out and found the whole set up on ebay several years back, then sent them to Steve Gregori(Brakeboosters.com) for the plating.

Transducers were used starting in 1975 (I believe) through 1979 on all Pontiac blocks, W72 or not.

What's a good source for EGR hardware for a W72 nowadays? Any part numbers to look for?

What's a good source for EGR hardware for a W72 nowadays?
If you need it to function and don't care about originality, Help Smog Parts (Clean Air Products Inc) in Visalia, CA. can help you out. Not cheap but functions perfectly and will be at your door within a few days. If you need just to have something to look complete, you're looking at parts cars and people tossing complete '75-79 4bbl intakes. The part number for the W72 transducer is no different than any other 400 per the GM parts books, but going off of what John Witzke says otherwise: WA code 1977 engines used GM part 549426 and the rest used GM part 1000029 (which aren't necessarily on the assembly itself). Both items have long since been superseded and then discontinued about 10 years ago or more. The EGR valve itself is 7048194, once again superseded and discontinued. Regular parts stores still sell a functionally correct and close but not 100% cosmetic matching item.

Currently looking for the same set up. I have the EGR and the old trandsducer but the EGR doesn't work and the Transducer is rotted. Do you remember how much it was to get this part coated? But first I need to find one. haha.
