I may be getting an olds 1968 455. The car has "E" heads. The current owner believes it's from a delta 88. The block and heads have been hot tanked and magnafluxed. It is currently bored .030 over, and will need another .030 to clean up. The guides and valve stems are worn. There are two broken valve springs. The crank is also too far gone. At least one rod is bad too.
It comes with a custom cam with these specs.
-----------------Int Exh
Adv Dur --------274 283
Dur@.050------ 230 240 Lobe Sep 110.0
Valve Lift ------.538 .541

I have a few questions. I am looking for just a mild build.

What Crank should I use? A stock crank or aftermarket?
What aftermarket .060 pistons do I use?
Should I go aftermarket rods or reman'd?
Im just wondering what parts to use?
I am wondering if that is a good cam, and will it produce a nice, streetable power, with a rough idle?
Also, what kind of power should I expect?
I'm going to keep the stock heads.
thanks

I think I may just go back to stockish.... Find a used 4 speed crank, get 1 or 2 rods replaced.  Maybe a set of .060 forged pistons.
Just a nice cruiser...

I think it should still have a crap ton of torque.
