32 years ago.........
« on: December 10, 2011, 12:24:40 AM »
32 years ago today, 12/10/1979, I got my '75 Trans Am, 45,975 miles. The engine was rebuilt in '82 and I finally had it repainted in '97. I'm one of  the lucky or smart ones that have been able to hang on to it this long. It's my first car and my only Pontiac.

Oh yeah.... When I stilled lived on the farm, I used to take the Appliance's off in the fall and carry them down the stairs and store them in the basement til spring and used the Rally II's w/snow tires for the winter.  I've saved everything that's been taken off except for the AM radio and the rear speaker...

That is fantastic that you still have your car.  Not many folks can say that.

the car looks sharp!   it's cool to have it that long, and know it's history....I have no idea about the history of my '79, and yes, I wish I would have been smart enough to keep my '78 that I got back in the '80's......

Congrats. Glad you still have your car after all these years. Beautiful T/A. Great color combo. 8) Best wishes for many more years with your Silver Bird.

I'm closing in on 31 years with my T/A. It's getting harder to remember when I didn't have it. :D

Good for you!
I still have my 1974 Trans Am, which I bought in 1976.
However, it is not in better shape as it was when I first got it. ;)
But the engine is. :)

Wow! U'r first car (and a kick ass choice it was) and U still have it! I hate myself for going thru muscle cars like they were women (sorry girls, that one slipped) back then and much later on realizing each one was historic in the short lived span of American true muscle cars manufactured for such a short period of time. Let me guess, it's in your will to be buried in her right!

Yep, same here.  And I must say that I'm not happy with how little progress I've made on it.
