Fix old t-top weatherstrip

I am wanting to fix some of the weatherstrip on my t-top car. I have new weatherstrip but my T-tops do not leak so I am putting off changinf the weathrstrip. The problem is it has little tears in the middle from being dry. I tried silicone but not with the best results

Black urethane - Sikaflex is good stuff.
Get a cup of water, put a little dish soap in it so you have soapy water.
Apply some urethane to the tears...squeeze some into the tear and a bit on top....make sure the seal is clean and dry, maybe a wipe over with wax&grease remover first.
Take your fingers, dip them in the soapy water and lightly rub over the urethane to smooth the surface out....don't press too hard.
When the urethane cures, it should be stuck tight to the rubber.
