Hi,

yes, it´s  me and my Trans Am. The exhaust is a very straight pipe under the rear axle. It contains two german Bosch Cats two glass packs and the two Supertrapps, sounds cool and it is not too loud at the Autobahn and believe me, the 403 Olds never ran better since the day the cat system and the electronics were installed, so I´m a real green racer  Shocked. We build this very often this way here in Europe. I have it this way since circa 12 years, works very well with no problems. No ground clearance isssues, no problem when jacking up the car.
More pics of this race day and some big boy dragsters under:

Enjoy !

Yeah, not bad mufflers those...I had Supertrapps on my 34 roadster. I like how easy they are to tune for noise levels.

I see you were pulling that challenger hard.  I'm guessing your 403 is not stock?

Hello,

to be honest, this was my first run against a tree. I decided to do slight chassis loading, holding the car with higher idle against the brake, to keep the vehicle reaction time down and leave at the last yellow beam. Well, sh** happens  Very Happy I had a red light by 0.0495 sec. at this run, but as you can see in this pic series, I´m pulling away from him. That surprised me too the SRT should have around 400 hp. My car hooks pretty well with the "Tramp" tires for some unknown reason. I launch with half throttle and kick it full in when I feel it hooks well. I prefer to have the tank half full. Almost empty is no good for hook up. Should have a oppurtunity to pratice with a tree....but that´s not so easy over here in Europe. Thinking of a practice tree.
Well the 403 has a 1405 Edelbrock carb, Performer manifold, 268 comp cam, stock compression, mild port work, headers and exhaust. It is fresh and runs pretty well. It pulls really hard in a hot oil and a cool manifold situation. Dynos at 285 DIN-PS, I think that´s around 300 hp.

...oh I forgot to mention the 3.08 rear axle ratio.
A video of the second run, the Camaro popped a whopping carb back fire, sad way to win  Sad
