If you know anyone that can help me, I need some rear caliper springs. (BOTH SIDE's) :???: gixxer, are thos 18/11 in the rear or 12's.

I have EVERYTHING to put here together now. All the mock ups are over. Sometimes I need help, but manage by myself. here is the
current state of the car.

I was there that night Gixxer. I saw your car. Looking good. There were 2 or 3 1st  and 2nd gens (all camaros) that had LS swaps in them, but all had automatics. I was really surprised by that. I would think that the T56 would be the most popular option for those doing the LS swap, but then again i guess it depends on what you want to do with the car. For racing and such I would see the auto being a better option.

Jegs, my car is a drum rear, so I cant help on the caliper springs, but I wonder if this guy can. He has tons of old poncho parts (heads, intakes,etc.). I would think he might have run across a few with the rear disks...

It looks like maybe our plans fell through the cracks. The Houston Spring Swap meet is in Humble on Sunday April 9th. Anyone interested in meeting up and wandering through?
Here is a link:

http://www.hotrodsoftexas.com/nhoustons.shtml

I suspect that the good deals are going to be had early. Looks like they start up at 6. Not sure I am that dedicated to a good deal, but I could be there by 7 or 8.

Thoughts?

Mines getting close, should be calling her done and bringing her home sometime around the 17th. Decals, wax, and a few detail items left!

Todd

Yeah, its Texas, gotta have the AC and although its got more HP than any car I have ever owned, it idles good with the AC going. I did upgrade the fan and blower motor for additional air flow, plus we upgraded to a modern compressor. The AC blows nice and cold when you need it.

Sorry I missed it guys.  We were at our first car show with the 74. Vernon, Texas, up by Wichita Falls.
We are heading over to the Niftee Fifteee's Car Show Saturday (6:30 at Kukeyndahl and Louetta).
Anyone up for meeting up there? Now that the car is done I have a bit more time on the weekends and can participate in these meetings more frequently.

Of all things, my project here in Porter that was supposed to be done by 3:00 is still going. I'm not sure I can get out of here and to Niftee Fiftees or not, it's already 6:39 PM and these guys look to have another half hour of work left before I can lock up.
Hopefully I'll get there...

I hung out till about 8 and didn't see anyone so I took off. I will have to catch you next time. This was the first time of me ever going to Niftee Fiftees and seeing no Camaros and no Trans Am's. The single Fbody was the Firebird described above. Tons of old trucks there. You can tell old pickups are the hot trend right now. Probably more pickups than cars there this time.
Anyways. Catch you guys next time.

I might try to stop by. Which twin peaks is it at? I know theres one on 45, and one on 290,looks like there's one near Katy on I10 and one on Kirby by downtown. I could bring the 98 Camaro to that one. I think it would fit in nicely with that club.

Twin Peaks on 45, officially starts at 5;00 pm.  I'll probably get there a little earlier than that. I need to be home by 8:00 or so since we are leaving for Big Bend in Sunday.
