Working my way up to ten!  Not really a bad idea.. have to show some dedication before selling. I've seen on other forums were the "sales" section brings a lot of complications.

Am I correct it is 10 new posts that the user starts that count rather posts and replies?  I've been able to view the classifieds until this weekend but now can't. I've got like 120 "posts" but I'm guessing the majority of those are replies.

Very odd my posts are now showing a much lower number than I actually have. Not sure what is going on.

Yes- it looks like you registered twice in 4 days' time.  The YukOn Jack is the one you have posted with until recently.  Yukon Jack (small O) is the mostly unused account.  Do you want us to disable that one and you keep the YukOn account?

I recall now, when I first registered I used my @swbell.net account and for a few days never got activated. Tried a different email account and immediately received the verifcation link. Sometimes the @swbell.net account has trouble like that. Please go ahead and delete the low post user name if possible. Thanks!

Thanks for this info, I spend the majority of my time on the 301 website. Do these two web sites share administrators? I am thinking that possibly you could provide benefits for viewers who cross pollinate between the sites. I own an 81 turbo and the tech pages on the 301 web site are just more applicable, however I like to review both on occasion to see if I can learn anything or find a difficult part.

No, we have different admin/mods.  But we let Joe (jjr) field the 301 questions here for the most part   There are several of us here that belong to 301garage as well as other T/A sites.  Info is good, wherever it is found.

I agree - also I am unwittingly securing my 10 post so I can continue the search for a 301 flywheel. :  )

Thanks,

The Trans Am community is a family of sorts.

I first posted 301 info here and later felt that there
was enough interest to do an additional site that focused
on just the 301.

General firebird, Esprit, Formula and Trans Am info is well covered
here and on 78ta.

Here the 301 info got it's own area, and I check in nearly every day,
sometimes more than once.

On 78ta, Brett made me a member of his Tech Staff, and I field 301
questions and issues there as well.

I am one of the newer folks in a great core of nice folks that have been
serving the hobby for years. It's an honor to be a part of such a neat
community.

And oh... I am a car guy big time. I own 2nd, 3rd and a forth gen Firebird(s).

I'll keep my eyes open for you... <grin>

Thanks Joe - I have learned so much from both web sites and the amount of information is staggering. I read both web sites on a regular basis. I really appreciate the time you put into helping the TA community. I have to say that I am hooked! Before I bought this car i had spent time looking at chevelles and roadrunners, but I am so glad we bought this turbo TA. It is unique and beautiful...

Joe, I choose long ago not to have a "tech staff", as I don't ever want to make someone feel obligated to be on TAC.  That would make it work and take the fun out of it.  However, if I ever start a tech staff you'll be the first person I contact.  That still doesn't mean you can't informally take on that roll.  You are well-respected in the TA community and you are always welcome here.

I also just realized we did not have a 301 specialty area, but that has been resolved.

I don't really need a title to help, for me helping is fun.

I comb through TAC and 78ta every day as best I can looking
for areas that I can help. There are so many darn good wrenchs
here and on 78ta, that usually it's the 301 specific questions
that are not addressed when I check. But anywhere I can add
I do.

 Thank you Sir,

 Joe

All of us 301 owners have joe to thank for his site. I have owned my 80 turbo formula since 2007 and most of what I have learned has come from the 301 garage site. Now if I could only get joe to take on some side work  :P

And yes I need to post more here, I spend time on a few pontiac & Firebird site and appreciate the different perspectives that each bring to the table.

Like me!

I haven't been on in a while (since I sold my 73), but got the itch and logged on to look for my next car to buy in the classified ads.

Well I too disagree with the rules, they are the rules, and I will abide by them. I am an active member on several other forums where my company is a sponsor and a preferred vendor. The rules they have in place seem to work well. They do not place restrictions to discourage potential buyers, however they WILL punish and sellers who abuse the system. These are just some ideas that I have picked up on from the Corvette and Camaro forums. I have been a proud owner of Trans Am's since I was 16 years old when I purchased my first new 1978 T/A.
I am looking forward to become an active member in this forum, however due to my business obligations I will not always be able to be on here every day. I say that because I have items and a vehicle to sell, but may be unable to meet the minimum required posts.  That's too bad. Just sharing my opinion.....NOT bashing, nice site guy's, and nice cars to all the members who have posted pictures on here.
