TAC member Norwood has a great reputation for restoring different parts for the 2nd gen community, so I approached him to be listed in this section of TAC.

To restore a shaker correctly it needs to taken apart. Originally the base was painted then riveted to the primed top. Then the color was painted on the top. The peened side of the rivet should  NOT be  painted. The rivets that I use are Stainless and will not rust.  Not everyone has the equipment to re rivet the base back to the top in a correct manner. This method is CORRECT for ALL Trans Am Shakers  $50.00

I can also reinstall your missing drain hose nipple. This includes the  new nipple.  25.00

I also will completely restore you 1970-72 shaker to original condition.  70-72 Functional units are my specialty.  I am the reproducer of all the original type parts that the big Pontiac vendors sell. Price is determined by condition and parts needed.

Sent my shaker to Norwood to be repaired and restored.  Received it back today and it looks awesome!  If you need your shaker repaired or restored, I recommend sending it his way.

Unfortunately I forgot to take a good before picture, so I don't have one.  The glass on my shaker was in good shape and needed minimal work, save for one small broken piece.  The metal base was another story, it needed to be replaced.  I managed to get my hands on a metal base and sent it his way.  Norwood cleaned up the shaker, painted the scoop and the metal base, riveted them back together, and now it looks like new!
