IT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT IT TAKES MORE THAN A CAM AND LONG TUBE HEADERS AND A K&n FILTER TO GET BIG hp NUMBERS.

fOR SOME REASON, IT ALWAYS TICKS ME OFF TO HEAR PEOPLE GUESSTIMATE THEIR COMBINATION MAKES 400 HP. bs i SAY.

KUDO'S TO YOU FOR PROVEN IT WITH RUNS AND DYNO TIME.

I saw that TATA at the Ban One show and looked around but couldn't find you. Sounds like you have a good season in front of you. Looking forward to hearing the results of the latest build.

Dave Dudek just crushed the FAST record. At Muscleaplooza (our 1st national of '10) in NY he went 10.18 @136 in eliminations on Sunday. Here is some in car from an earlier record 10.28 pass.

News Flash!

My heads have finally shipped from Canada. They are in the UPS system and will be delivered to CVMS on Monday. The Martin Michigan National on the 25th is still the goal.  Jim is going to TRY to have the short block completed by late next week.Once the piston to valve is checked and all is well things will begin to come together, if we have contact with the valve/piston it will Kill Martin and take awhile longer.

If all goes well though, that will give me about 2-3 days to finish assembling the engine, install it in the car and load for Michigan. No dyno and no track testing...just straight into the fire.

Also, I made a late decision to go with aluminum rods. At this point, I decided that this was a race motor and really nothing else. Why hold anything back. So, maybe this will help that top end charge a little. Reducing my circulating weight can only be a good thing. It's one of those things that the FAST Big dogs have that run 10's regularly.

The racing juices are beginning to flow. I went and bought my first Fire jacket last week at Summit. You have to have one for NHRA sub 11.50's.  Hopefully, it wont be the cart before the horse.

We hit a pretty big bump in the road...so the Martin Michigan Nationals were lost. Sometimes things just dont work out like you want. I am still working at it though. Any progress will be here as always.

 Bob,

Long story. But, I will keep it to myself.

Hopefully, by fall I will have the TA back together and running some good numbers.

Sorry to hear that! Come to Dayton without the car and we'll talk over a beer or two. We'd love to see you this summer. Mostly cause we like Nicole! LOL

Nicole and I have talked about going but thats about it. With the boys in Fall baseball and BMX it will be tough. It will be last minute at best if we go. Bob, you did make Nicole smile though.

I have been working on a second TATA though that I could bring. Pretty nice car only 24K miles. Too bad its an Olds motor, it really drives tight.

 Bad News..

After getting several professional opinions on my new motor, the outcome is not good. This is one project that simply blew up on the launching pad. So, in short we will have to put a fork into the FAST BUILD #3 thread. To be honest this makes me sick. Recently,I had to load my car into the trailor because I simply didnt want to be reminded.

On the other hand, my goal of 600+ hp and a 10.99 time slip is not dead. It will just have to happen with another engine between the frame rails.
