Just realized I cheated myself out of the ab ripper portion for day 1.  I was able to correct that on day 3 though.  My whole body is sore but I find myself wanting more.  I'm thinking about adding a run to the workouts.  Let's see if I can just keep this up when I have to go back to work tomorrow....Let's hope.

It was hard for me with the holidays. I was out of town a lot, so I had a couple of gaps. Now that it is all said and done, I'm going to finish out this week and stay hard on it for the last 30 days!

Personally, my wife and I are sure we are going to start over again(day 1) now that all of the big holidays and family get togethers are behind us now. I don't mind as I really like the workout program and hate jumping around, so off to a fresh start for us.  :-)

sorry to hear the Holidays put many of the programs on hold.  I find that to be when I have the most time.  I did the Yoga today but with my schedule was only able to put in about an hour.  I figure some is better than none.  Looking forward to tomorrow so I can get another shot at the ab ripper.

Back on track, I missed that burning, hurting, good sensation.

sorry to hear the Holidays put many of the programs on hold.

My wife is the youngest of 9, and I am number 6 of 8, so with all of their kids and spouses, plus our 2 kids ........ well it's just about 47 people(give or take)!

Is it just me, or does anyone else dread X Stretch, just because it is so darn boring!

It gives you the "take the day off" as an alternative.

I do the Stretch X program twice a week, and an abbreviated version of it everyday (15 minutes). I'm really working on getting more flexibility.

I've decided that this is my year to get in amazing shape. I have one month left of P90X and I am going to hit everything hard. This is my 30th year on this earth and I want to be around for another 70.

I'm going to finish my P90X, than do the P90X+ for 90 days. After that I'm going to relax and do a more cardio based one with my wife like Slim in 6 or Turbo Jam. After that I'm going to hit Insanity, and then take it back to either Turbo Jam or Slim in 6 depending on what we do first. Then I'll go back to the P90X again.

I want to be considered "fit" by the end of the year.

Felt good today, I went over to my parents' house at lunch and pulled the starter out of my brother's car. My dad called me a few minutes ago and asked me how I did it because he can't fit under the car - and my dad has lost 50 lbs over the last 6-8 months!

That's EXACTLY what I had in mind when I got into week 3 and felt better than I had in my entire life. The plan you outlined is pretty much what my wife and I are intending to do as well. The only difference is I'm 42, LOL! I feel like if I don't do this now, while I'm in my 40's, then I'll be soft in the cage for the rest of my life. This is the year!

Funny thing is I've got my 25th high school reunion coming up this summer. It just so happens to coincide with me being in the middle of my year long P90X rampage! I think some may not recognize me, especially getting out of my 76 T/A, LOL!

Just finished up my first week.  Only problem I have is that for some reason my DVD player keeps saying that it cannot read 2 of the disks from beginning to the end.  Starts up fine but then cannot read the disks.  I'm really bummed because this is the first time any of the disks have been used and there are no scratches on them.  I guess time to try a newer DVD player.

I had the same problem. We setup a workout space in the basement. I had an old 32" Mitsubishi CRT TV and what I thought was a high quality Pioneer DVD player in storage. I set it up and some of the DVD's would play, some would get to the menu but not play and some wouldn't do anything at all. I guess the Pioneer was state of the art 8 years ago, but no longer, LOL!

I went to Walmart and picked up a new $59 Sony DVD player and it plays all the DVD's perfectly.

I'm sore but not nearly as sore as I thought I would be after week 1.  I didn't even think my abs were feeling it after the workouts, until I stretched that is.  I really find myself with way more energy and find myself always shaking my foot, doing calf raises or anything to be expending energy just to get it out.  I haven't really lost any weight yet but feel my skin tightening around my muscles so I don't really care about the overall weight.  It will come off in time (and probably quicker if I followed the diet plan).

Thanks, I thought about making some more and taking them with me to the nationals, but so far haven't done it.  :???:

I was offered $350 for the red one from one of my neighbors that is into transams, but I didn't want to sell it. He told me that whenever I find time to make more he would take one, of course that was a couple of years ago and he still hasn't forgotten.  He reminds me about it everytime I see him.

I bought a new shirt today - a LARGE! And it fit me and I comfortably wore it all day long. My wife and I thought about it and we're pretty sure I've been at least an XL ever since I met her.....13 years ago.

And going through some pictures today cleaning up, I was HUGE at our wedding.

I'll post some pictures of me now and me then after I finish my P90X for the night. :-D

Awesome results!!  Congrats for sticking with it.  I find the Yoga to be very boring but am sticking with the program.  I'm halfway through week 3 and haven't really lost a lot of weight but can feel the difference in my upper body.  90 days of the classic then I think I'll do the lean workout.

Congrats again Birdman!!!

I hate recovery week.  I don't have near the energy and am gaining back some of the weight I lost.  I'm still several pounds lighter than when I started but can't wait to get back to working out with a purpose.

I honestly have only lost about 2 lbs since I started. I went down 10lbs but slowly put it back on. I am convinced it is all muscle though, my upper body strength is fantastic now. I've actually got some muscle ridges where I'm getting some definition.

Had to take a few days off here. I had my son and his sled hooked up to my black lab, and the dog decided to exact her revenge and run the sled into my left ankle. It is killing me, I tried to start plyo tonight and my ankle hurts too bad. I think it should be fine by tomorrow, but man did it hurt.

My mom told me to do this. I've been doing a different Tony Horton
abs routine, and I tried this one out last night, and this morning I couldn't
sit up. I was amazing, and really hard, but I figure it felt really good.
If I had room, I'd try the upper body one, but for now I'll just keep going
to the gym.

Cardio loses fat, not weighlifting. Go on the treadmill or run outside (<- way better) and you'll be a skinny guy in no time!
