dash pad restoration 2nd Gen-any updates?
« on: September 27, 2024, 10:45:27 AM »
Posted in 2nd Gen with views but no comments, should have posted here first.
I've read the posts by roadking77 on dash repair.  I have the Polyvance 2050-9 filler and Fibafuse mesh tape.  But as I pushed the cracked and brittle areas of the pad, the area grew to about 8".  The foam underneath is still soft and flexible.  Can I use the Polyvance to bridge this large area?  Any updates, successes, advice from roadking77 or others who've done padded dash repair?  Thanks, Phil

I didn't get replies but roadking 77 pm'd me with some additional info so I went ahead with my dash repair.  It's completed and you'll see instructions on how-to and some photos in my new post "dash pad restored--tutorial".  You can fix that old cracked dash!  Phil
