Cold Case Radiator

I am trying to install my cold case radiator. I know it needs the rubber isolators on the bottom but I thought the stock radiator had a slot that sat on a couple of clips mounted to the bottom of the core support. I cannot figure out yet what holds the radiator in place. Has anyone dealt with this issue.

I could be wrong but from memory, I believe the radiator essentially sits within the shroud, on the 4 isolators, and the shroud obviously is bolted to the core support. I don’t remember any clips or tabs.

Ya, Brian is correct. Basically it is sandwiched in there

All the radiators I have seen on F bodies all have the four rubber insulators that are locked in place between the shroud. They sort of wrap around the edge of the raidator tanks.

OK, that is exactly what I had thought! Its been awhile since I installed the one on my 77 and could not recall any type of fastener holding the rad. in place. Looking at the manual I didnt see anything either. It just seemed odd to me looking back on it that there was nothing bolting it directly in place.

As mentioned by others there are 4 insulators, two on top and two on the bottom as the assembly manual shows (this is a 1980 manual). There are two sizes of insulators, the cold case radiator likes the larger insulator, this should be what came with your car. There are two metal tabs/stops circled in red. They bolt in to the core support from the front. These prevent the lower part of the radiator from sliding too far forward.

From this angle you can see the tab in front of the rubber insulator, right below the fins for the AC condenser.
