Hershey Antique Automobile Club of America Car Show
« on: October 11, 2022, 03:07:33 PM »
Last Friday I drove my car up to Hershey for the fall AACA show. For those that dont know, Hershey 'week' is like a holy week for car guys. They have a large all car only flea market set up in the parking lots of Hershey Park. People come from all over the world for this event. It is primarily for pre war cars, but newer stuff is creeping in (for muscle cars and newer stuff Carlisle is better). Friday is the AACA's regional car show. I try to get up there every year, this year was the first time I have shown a car there. I do not know the count but there had to have been a thousand vehicles of all varieties. My drive was about an hour and a half each way. Car ran great. I participated in the DPC (Driver Participation Class). Cars are not judged for points, but they do judge for correctness and accuracy. Some wear and tear from driving cars is fine to have in this class. The AACA's goal is for the car to appear as close to factory as possible. Hot rods and modifieds are not accepted.

Maybe someday i will attend this show. Your car looks great, I am not sure if I have ever seen a good picture of it. makes me think again about putting 15 X 8 snowflakes on my car.

Among the elite, as it should be. Sounds like a great show.

Thanks. The 8" wheels are not correct for my 77 and I do have a set of 7" that need restored. On the back burner of the to do list in case I want it to be 'correct' at any future showing.

Wow, great pictures, really nice assortment of vehicles and nice weather. It doesn’t get much better. My best friend used to own a  Vega, it was just an average car, but brings back fond memories. His never looked as good as the one pictured.

The vega was really nice. I would dare say probably the best one out there. Not many survived. Friday was absolutely beautiful for the car show. Sunny and 70 degrees. Unfortunately the first part of the week, mon through thurs morning, was hard rain. Leftovers from the hurricane.
