Happy Labor day, to all the "laborists" out there keeping the rat race alive. Enjoy your holiday. Hopefully, you're actually able to celebrate it.

I am packing up right now for my annual trip to the wilds of the Colorado Rockies. Just me and my best friend Jeff from 5th grade (he lives in Colo. Springs now so his drive is 4 1/2 hours). It is a 23 hour drive each way for me solo, since my other best friend Tim- who still lives here- stopped going a couple years ago. So I no longer do a straight-trough trip. I now stop for 4-5 hours on my way there. Last year I did drive back nonstop (other than food/fuel stops) because I suppose I really wanted to get home to my wife, and a hot shower, and a soft bed, and food that we hadn't half-cooked over an open fire, and internet, and ...
I'll see y'all after the 19th, good Lord willing.

Safe trip Mike, and happy labor day all. Yesterday I managed to get a day off with the wife and we drove to Newport RI (only 85 miles each way). It wasn't bad, we managed to see two mansions, garbed some dinner and drove back home.

Sounds like a good time, Jack. Newport use-ta be our get-away years ago. I like it there.

Family time is good time. We want to see the northeast when we can do a 2-week vacation.
