Charcoal canister delete

Looking to remove the canister. Currently my canister is not hooked to my sniper EFI. I understand it collects fumes which eventually get sucked into the engine in order to burn them. Because I'm not using it I would like to simply delete it. The other reason is it will give me space for modifications I'm doing which will cleanup the engine bay.
I'm wondering for those of you who have done it, how did you do it? I was thinking of having a rubber line that goes from the tank, up and then back down just above the tank (like a upside down p-trap)

Deleted mine. On the fuel tank vent line that terminates on the forward passenger side, I slipped a hose on it and added a plastic fuel filter for venting.
But my intake and carb are aftermarket, so connections vary for each application, eh.

Thanks. I figure can't be worst than having a canister that just sits there doing nothing

After converting my car to a FAST EFI system, I still ran the fuel vent line from the tank all the way up to the charcoal canister, but never bothered to connect the canister to a vacuum port on my throttle body. It’s not a big deal and on my list of things to do. Not that it’s a great excuse but I figure by running a closed loop EFI system my car is probably polluting less than it was when new.

I did what highway star did but added a check valve to vent into the tank but not out and forcing the fumes into the charcoal canister.
