Interesting build of a 1978/1979 TA

I found this on youtube. This guy did kind of an over the top build of a what he said was a 1979 TA, although it has a 77 or 78 nose. Really wide stance of the tires and fenders to accommodate the wider tires. Boost gage mounted in the shaker, almost a through back to the hood mounted tachs on GTO's. Kind of interesting how the builder understates what he has. What's interesting is the 5.3 LS isn't that far from the displacement of the 4.9L turbo Pontiac released in 1980. With twin turbo's who knows what kind of power he has. Imagine what Pontiac engineers in 1980 would have thought if they saw this car. Or if they could even imagine that some one would be building one like this 40 years later.

I think to a certain extend that was the plan until GM pulled the plug on Pontiac.
