Rotting Muscle Cars and Old Tin
« on: April 02, 2021, 02:05:44 PM »
I'm not a facebook member, but had this link sent to me by my brother-in-law.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/304625233510330/

If you scroll down to a post by a Michael McCaw, you will see a burnt T/A and caption stating...

"This makes me both sad and sick!
There was a fire early this week at a shop in Florida that specializes in Trans Am’s. Burt Reynolds personal Trans Am and the first “Bandit” 1977 Trans Am ever produced were lost! Air conditioner started the fire at night."

Sad, but pretty gnarly.

Edit: Here is a direct link.

Yes, Trans Am Specialties of Miami.  Rick has been in the T/A game  for a long time.

Yeah that reminded me of Kerry's car. But saw some nice cars there.

Wow, I have been to this shop and he has a ton of Trans Am's there. I cannot seem to find any other news about the fire. What a massive shame. Rick has always been nothing but wonderful to me and I really hope this setback can be overcome. Horrible to see.

Yikes, that was Trans Am Specialties!  I saw it was in FLA and they were my first thought but figure there had to be other guys with trans ams, that is such a shame, not that it wasnt before. I dont know the guys but have seen their adds and it looks like they had dozens and dozens of cars.  I hope it was not a total loss for their shop. I hope they had good insurance.
