The comments on that video pretty well sum up my opinions.  There’s a LOT of misinformation and it’s mostly someone babbling about cars they have no knowledge of.  As far as GTO wagons, some guys have assembled some great cars that represent what a GTO wagon might have looked like if GM/Pontiac ever offered one…which they did not.

Someone on here restored an early 70's with a 455, but it was not and there was not a GTO trim from Pontiac. Many of those land yachts had the biggest engine offered just so the car can move with all of that weight but they were not sports cars.

Quite a bit of hyperbole! Jack is 100% correct. Sure they had big motors but none of them were the race cars this video represents them as. I would be willing to bet the creator/narrator of this video was not born when these cars last rolled off the assembly line. His views are aligned with todays perception of the station wagon. They were the mini vans of their day.
I thought it was a guy from Australia that was building the 'GTO' wagon that had a thread on here years ago.

I always liked wagons, maybe because that’s what my parents had when I was a youngster. With six kids they needed a 9 passenger wagon to haul all of us around. Honestly it’s kind of nice to see something a little different.
