I'm 36 years old, and strides are made every year in treating and preventing cancer. I sincerely hope that in the honor of people like Gerald, I'll lay witness to some sort of breakthrough for treating or curing this evil disease when I reach old age and am susceptible to it. Alas, it doesn't discriminate; it doesn't choose; and it may crop up in people who do everything right with their health and are even at a young age - true chaos manifesto. I remember occasional posts of his when I first joined here in 2008 (can't believe it's been that long) before my long hiatus, and he was a cool dude. My condolences to his family and I wish them the best as they battle through the grief.
