Went to the Camaro Nationals (dont shoot me!)
« on: July 15, 2023, 07:24:49 AM »
I ordered my exhaust from Firebird(camaro) Central in May. To save on shipping they delivered to the Camaro Nationals in Morgantown PA. The venue is at The Classic Auto Mall. For those not familiar this place was an abandoned shopping mall that was turned into a classic car broker/dealership. Every store and all of the main hallways are full of cars. They have monthly events there and being about 40 min from home I have been wanting to go just because. They say there are over 900 cars in inventory which I believe. We spent more time walking around in 'the mall' than at the show. They had a couple of rooms dedicated to the Nationals with their 'high level camaros' but most of the stuff was outside. Friday had a decent crowd but today(Sat) is the big show day. After reading the brochure they do welcome Firebirds and there was a single 69 clone trans am convertible there.

Most of the pics are cars for sale on consignment. Grumpys Toy was in the Camaro show.
Heck, you can even buy the Wright brothers Plane!!!

This place is only 134 miles from my daughter in Alexandria, VA. looks like it’s worth the trip. I love the picture of the 74 SD, same color scheme and almost identical body as the 75 TA I bought back when my wife and I started dating.

Camaro’s are cousins to Firebirds.  Competition between Firebird and Camaro helped make the Firebird a better car!

Larry, the SD car was particularly nice. I too like the white with blue colour on the Trans Am the best. I made a comment about and my son asked why I had a black and silver one

I have a friend close by that has a 75 identical to this SD car. His sister bought it brand new and he has it now. Meticulously restored. I thought I had a pic but couldnt find one handy. Next time I see him I will get some shots of it.
