From Hoghead's:

The car also had no t-tops. This is kind of off the subject, but there is no evidence of any Y88's without t-tops. If you think you have one, it could be worth a fortune, and you should get the documentation immediately. Also, here's a trivia item: All gold 1978 Trans Ams used the big 5-color hood bird that was designed for the Gold Special Edition.

Unless it's a hidden gem........No one has been able to prove a Y88 without T-tops exists.  There have been claims that they have a Y88 hard top but after getting PHS documents....they found out differently.

And all Y88's have the fisher t-tops.

Sorry, not true. I have an early '78 4 speed W72 car with Hurst T-tops. I am pretty sure that here in the US the GM Fisher T-top was a mid year change.

i have read that before
my car 3rd week january 1978 has fischer tops
i wonder if there were cars at hurst being converted during the early fischer days
so there was an overlap

Are we talking Y88 or 1978 models in general? There were definitely early 1978 model with Hurst tops, the Y88 came with Fisher tops. Hurst and others could still be arranged to add them to hardtops and older models by customer/dealer.

Hello Wallington, i was refering to the Y88 SE gold car.
I know that there were still Hurst TTop cars in early 78 but i was curious about the Y88 car.
If there are any 1978 Y88 cars with Hurst TTOp or they all have fishers.
Thanks
