DS floor picture
« on: December 12, 2022, 06:34:01 PM »
Anyone have a good picture of the interior side of the drivers side floorboard in the area that the parking brake cable goes through. Just bare, without carpet.

Thanks in advance.

There is a bracket that mounts on the bottom side of the floor pan where the parking brake goes through. I dont think they are repro'd. IF anyone has a spare I could use it.

I wondered about that. Mine is present on the bottom of my car but I haven’t seen it elsewhere

What bracket and year.  I don't recall removing any bracket from the bottom side of the floor pan.

I believe that bracket, in my case, collected toad grime and caused a small spot of rot in the floor I recently discovered. Going to have to tack a patch in. Hopefully I don’t find any more surprises

OK, may not be a bracket, but a reinforcement. My 77 looks like the top pic that Wall posted. Where the cable goes through the floor there is an angle piece tack welded as a reinforcement to the floor board I suppose. It is not present on my 79!

Thanks for the pics.

OK....now I see what you are talking about.  That bracket is on my Y88 body.  I was looking for something that was bolted on.  This is spot welded to the body.
