Headliner Material
« on: February 01, 2025, 02:15:23 PM »
I have my 1977 Trans-Am that I've owned since 1977. A couple years ago the headliner material began to let go. I thought the replacement would be a simple procedure. Except for the fact that the material is perforated "Firethorn Red". There doesn't seem to be any aftermarket Firebird store that has that material in Firethorn Red. Maybe I missing something , but I can't find that color. I am hoping someone out there may know of a supplier for this color.

Good idea to call around and ask. If at all possible do not damage the board when you remove the headliner.

Are you very particular about originality? If not, you'd probably be able to find cloth headliner a lot more readily. My car had its headliner replaced with cloth at some point in the past, and I honestly prefer it over the perforated, even if it's not correct.

Yep, same hear. When I did mine I got a vinyl type material from Jo Ann fabric, perfect color match just not perforated . I also used it on the rear shelve under the rear window. Get a lot of complements on it.
