What I’ve been doing the past week
«

It had been 3 years since we came back to St. Augustine. I missed 2019 due to caring for my 91 year old neighbor. Then came Covid lockdowns. Finally made it back to my favorite Florida spot.

When I first discovered St Aug, there was little traffic. It is the oldest city in the U.S. and has the most fascinating buildings that I’ve ever seen, with the exception of the cliff dwellings in the southwest. It seems that now it has become a larger tourist destination but is still a peaceful, relaxing place to walk around and see the local sights. We aren’t really beach people so we spend most of our time just looking at the old churches and architecture.

Looks nice Mike. I too love St Augustine. A ride down the coast on A1A is very nice as well.

Sounds nice. Just curious as to good destinations. I'm not into all the crazy tourist stuff but like to relax and feel safe checking stuff out. I haven't traveled much so....
Thanks for the reply.

Just seeing this now as I'm back from the most stressful city in the world... NYC - I hate that city.
Anyways, looks nice and relaxing, I'm glad you found the time to get away. I should learn from you as I'm back to the same old grind.

Sounds like fun Jack
I am only a couple of hours south of NYC and have been there about 4 times, the last one being about 1982! I have no desire to go there at all. On the other hand as crazy as it sounds we love Chicago and have been there multiple times over the last 10 years or so. I doubt I will travel back there any time soon though (unless its for the MCACN).
Luke, you need to get and see the country, LOL. Lots of great stuff. I have travelled to most places but the centre of the country and the Pacific northwest. A lot by motorcycle. My parents travelled to 49 states. They had no desire to go to Alaska, for reasons I dont know. I suppose a bit of that has rubbed off on me. Something left in my bucket list is to do a cross country motorcycle tour, travel rt. 66 and hit all 49 states (I havent counted but am probably 1/2 way there).

April for me was OH, KY, MD, NY/NJ + many day trips to NH and RI.
May will be UK, Ireland, UT, NM + the usual NH and RI.
Not fun, back to the grind and pre-covid days...

I flew to California picked up a 76 chevy 4x4 and drove it back to Ohio in a day and a half (drove straight through and hung at 90 and 100 mph a couple times). That was the best driving truck I had ever owned until my 2012 RAM.
I have been to Vegas, New Orleans and Florida for trade shows which was fun but really didn't see much. New Orleans had great food though!
