key still not turning

So my key isn't turning an the first thing i thought it would be is the ignition cylinder so I replaced it and it still doesn't work so Then I thought my transmission has been acting up maybe its the lever on the steering column so I detached the rod from the linkage below and just rotated my collar on the steering Colum all the way to the right to manually put the lever in park and still nothing is there any other reason why my key wont turn? I'm pretty clueless now any help would be greatly appreciated

How did you swap out an ignition barrel and adjust switch if still locked up somewhere? Have you had the car jacked up or parked against blocks or similar prior to the issue? Steering wheel swap prior? Trying to rule out issues where the steering lock comes into play and also stops key from being able to move.

If by “all the way to the right” you mean you rotated it clockwise as facing it from the drivers seat that is not park. The opposite, fully counterclockwise, would be “park”. Just FYI

Good info also. Mine doesn't use that setup so can't comment.

I just pulled apart the steering column to replace the barrel I do have a after market grant steering wheel but I don’t think that would be a problem where else can I look to find where it’s locked up

Did you check the wheel in the sky? That usually turns.
