Can’t find replacement turn signal assembly
« on: May 20, 2021, 04:19:18 AM »
My 1970 Firebird has a column shifter. I’m looking for a replacement turn signal assembly, but mine has an extra wire that runs to a little light bulb that fits in the gear indicator.

I purchased an AC Delco replacement assembly and the pins on the harness didn’t match mine,
nor did it have the extra wire for the gear indicator bulb.

I’ve searched far and wide and haven’t been able to find a replacement with that extra wire. Any ideas?

As an alternative, I was wondering if I could just replace the little cam mechanism on the top of the assembly. The reason I need to replace this is that the plastic part that the signal arm screws into is cracked, so I can move it to the left or center position, but not the right. Could I take that replacement assembly i purchased and just take that top plastic piece off to put on my old one?
