This is intermittent and frustrating. Sector shaft?

Sounds like your steering box, did you try and make any adjustments recently?

I messed around with the sector shaft and recalibrated the gearbox to remove slack.

When you adjusted the gear box, there are two adjustments that need to be done, one on the top with an Allen head and nut on it and the second is a large nut that is in between where the steering shaft connects to the gear box. Both adjustments need to done together, it’s like your ring and pinion in your differential, if your depth is not correct you will have a binding situation.
I ended up rebuilding mine after watching a few good videos on YouTube, bought the kit… and it’s all sealed up and he’s a good feel to it.

Not difficult, a little time consuming.
