OK, trick question, Im sure you all do. I was cleaning out a house for a customer and this was stashed in the closet upstairs. I thought it was pretty cool. I dont partake myself so it will become a dust collector.

I think its both parts, but then again I dont know that much about them. My son watches the moonshine show on tv and is very interested in history, and especially folk history. He was telling me how it worked.
From the stories I have been told over the years my grandmother had quite a settup and business of selling that kind of stuff during the depression. From my earliest memories she always drove a brand new Cadillac, so................

If that piece on the left is really copper, it would probably buff out nice and shinny. It would make a nice display.

Yes, its solid copper, the galvanized pot to the right has the copper coil inside.
My plan is to put it on the shelf as a piece of folk art.
