Anybody know what this connector is for? It appears to be an electrical connection, almost the size of a single RCA cable connector.

Windshield antenna.

Ah, so I imagine an compatible windshield would have some sort of electrical interface to plug into this.
I haven't yet tackled the radio on this build, but I imagine I'll want to connect to this behind the dash and connect some sort of antenna to this connector if I wanted over the air radio.

Yes, the antenna wires and plug comes out at the bottom of the windshield right above that plug location. I am pretty sure you can get a replacement W/S with the plug and wires.
Or if you go with a fender mounted antenna, you just run that cable to the radio and ignore the plug in your picture.
