Title: 1980 trans am SE bird or no bird

Hi Guys,
does anyone know how to determine if my car came with the bird or without the bird on the gas door? is it part of a larger trim package?

The bird on the gas door is for 1981 only. It was just part of the TRANS AM, you didn't order it or anything. On a standard car it was silver or grey. If you had a special edition, the eagle was gold. But your car is a 1980 one right? In that case it doesn't have the eagle.

A lot of people had theirs stolen way back then because people wanted the gas door bird for their 79 or 80 car.  My 81 Formula and a buddy of mine that had a base model Firebird were stolen by some low life.

It's not a Trans Am thing, it's a 1981 Firebird range thing.
