Title: 2018 Entry Form came in the Mail
Post by: mark369 on February 05, 2018, 12:15:24 PM
Got the entry form in the mail today.  So keep a look out for yours.
It is after the first of the year so hotel should be able to take reservations.

Just an FYI but the host hotel is having massive problems with bookings and auto-cancellations. They have a new policy for the Nationals group you must pay the 1st night. Half the employees know this, half don't. If you book and don't pay the 1st night you get cancelled. Also my friend DID pay the 1st night and he still got cancelled. He caught it by looking at his credit card statement or he wouldn't have known. If you already booked, I recommend you checking to see if your still good.

Geno Nemetz Just fyi.. You should be calling the local hotel (937-426-7800)... If the call gets transferred to the 800 number, hang up and try the local number again. And be sure to mention the Trans Am Nationals rate and to be sure they are charging the first night. Contacted Cheryl, she will contact the hotel tomorrow and get more info.

Got mine yesterday.  Unfortunately, there will be no Nationals for us this year.  Instead, the Mrs and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary by taking a week and half to cram in as much of Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, the Tetons and whatever else scenic is in-between lol.  And no, we won't be doing the trip in the GTA.  It would be a blast for me, but.......well, there's a reason I am celebrating 25 years lol.

Yellowstone/Grand Tetons area has to be the most awesome place that my wife and I have ever travelled to.

I got mine in the mail last week, we are planning to drive out in 2019 for the 50 year event. This year is a rubicon trip in the Jeep.

I've heard that from a lot of people.  My aunt and uncle have been there at least twice that I know of.  We are really excited.  Going to visit Mt Rushmore as well as a couple other smaller wildlife refuges that look interesting.  Getting a lot of "bucket list" stuff accomplished on this trip.  Probably need a week to recuperate from the trip lol.

I'm thinking I'll be there this year. I really don't care about having my car judged. I checked the web site. They don't say anything about a place for folks who'd just want to display. Is there such a thing or am I going to have to pay for an entry I could care less about?

I may run down too. I won't put my car in to be judged either (that is if it's even done...). I just want to meet some car folks and show my 10yo son some cool cars.

There is free parking over by the swap meet. That is where several that are for sale park. It is patrolled at night so it is safe.

Yes, when you sign in ask for a "no judge" placard. That is what I do. I clean it up for the audience, but not to the crazy point. Then you can be on the show field with everyone else.

To clarify, the entry fee is required to be on the show field, whether you have it judged or not. You can consider it a donation to help the show break even, or go with Mark's idea and park in the outer sections.

We are #169 for the ‘69, which isn’t going to be ready most likely.
