Title: Quartz clock conversion
Post by: wheels78ta on October 21, 2024, 08:52:03 PM
In a day or two I'll be converting a 1975 electromechanical clock to a quartz clock.  There are some articles explaining this but I'll provide a lot of pics to help better understand the conversion.

Well, it's about Time!
I mean no need to replace if you can keep Second hand.
Um...will this be shared to Tick Tock?
If you want a bargain look for the factory seconds, still work even after all the extra hours the worker put into them.

I did a conversion several years ago. Not a bad job. I’m not particularly thrilled with mine as it stops frequently. My electromechanical mechanism actually started working after I fiddled with it a bit so someday I may convert back.

Let's keep this hour little secret.

I just noticed that I put this in the "Exterior" section.  Sorry about that.

Mods.....can we move this to "Electrical"?
