Time for new tires on the 81 Formula. Car came with 245/60 on front and 255/60 on rear. 8” snowflake rims. Question—-will 255/60 work on the front without rubbing anything? I want to have the same size tires on all 4 corners. Appreciate any input and suggestions. Thanks.

Rubbing can depend on individual vehicles, but it's a common size for many that use them on all 4 corners. I prefer them staggered on these older vehicles, not just the stance but to fill the fenders better or look front heavy. Easy way to test, move your rears to the front and go for a run, try full lock and see if it rubs on sway bar or anywhere, also easy to adjust the stops. Or just move one from the rear to see how it looks with same front and rear. Probably thousands of pics in the stance post.

I run 255/60R15s on my 77 on 15x8 snowflakes. No rubbing

Thanks for all the input and information. I’m getting about 95% positive in favor of using the 255/60 on all four corners on all sites and firebird clubs I am a member of.Agree , best way to confirm is to put the 255/60 ‘s on the front to be sure. Thanks guys.
